Civil Contractors Federation SA

Interview with Phillip Sutherland, CEO, Civil Contractors Federation SA

Interview with Phillip Sutherland, CEO, Civil Contractors Federation SA.
Goodings says SA needs more infrastructure projects to sustain the steady employment rate of the State and Sutherland agrees with it. Sutherland says the Civil Contractors Federation will launch an assessment of the South Australian economy’s future without the political spin. Sutherlands reveals that there is a possibility of thousands of job loss going into the future. Sutherlands says the report also includes recommendations on what SA needs to do to sustain a steady economy. He explains that while SA is not a manufacturing powerhouse, the State’s strengths are labor, low cost of living, research and development, natural resources, and tourism. Sutherlands believes that SA should invest now on those fields, and that will lead to more construction programs. Sutherlands also says that South Australia needs to be more open to road tolls for the sake of improvement.
