Hickey says a new report suggests SA could lose as many as 10,000 construction jobs unless the government invests in more infrastructure. He says losing jobs is not what the state needs following the closure of Holden. Sutherland says the BIS Oxford Economics Report provided an assessment of the economy in SA and the role of infrastructure. He explains how much resources are needed to stimulate the economy. He says they are encouraging the SA Government and the Federal Government to collaborate more. He points out SA is left out when it comes to Federal Government investment. Sutherland says he understands the importance of investing in infrastructure.
