Businessman Paul Davison, head of family firm Davison Earthmovers, has taken over as president of the Civil Contractors Federation (SA) A board member for the past six years, he replaces Gerard Beltrame.
Mr Davison, right, said he intended to help improve employment conditions in SA. “Our industry has seen an increase in the amount of construction work undertaken in SA but there is still a long way to go in having a consistent workload across all levels of the industry.” The CCF will be vocal in the lead up to next year’s state election to ensure all major political decision makers are aware of its views, he said.
CCF (SA) has 600 member companies which employ up to 50,000 South Australians who work in fields ranging from infrastructure to housing land development.
