WHat is THE CCF SA?
The Civil Contractors Federation South Australia (CCF SA) is the peak industry and business association representing, promoting, protecting, connecting and training civil contractors.
The CCF SA has more than 500 Member companies and other organisations. These are both Contractor Members and Associate Members. Collectively CCF SA Members employ more than 25,000 South Australians.
Civil Contractors have business interests in Civil Construction which is a discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, dams, airports, drainage and sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. Civil contracting/construction is traditionally broken into a number of sub-disciplines. It is considered the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. Civil contracting/construction takes place in the public sector from municipal through to state and national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies. Associate Members of the Civil Contractors Federation provide goods or services to Civil Contractors.

women in civil
The Women in Civil Committee has an inspirational focus for Women in the Civil Construction Industry, embodied by celebrating women in the industry, from workers on the ground to leadership and management. We want to celebrate their achievements and contributions to the industry, and also to encourage women to join the industry. Activities designed to meet their obligations include support, mentoring, information and networking opportunities for women working across the civil construction industry.
The Next Generation Committee (Next Gen), is comprised of younger people from CCF SA Member companies who come together regularly to discuss and progress strategies and initiatives including events designed to collegiality support and encourage the younger next generation of people working in or considering a career in our industry.
The Retired Members Group (RMG) was formed by CCF SA in 2014 to provide a social environment for retired or semi-retired Civil Construction Contractor and Associate Members and allied stakeholders to meet, re-connect and keep abreast of current industry practices.
acknowledgement of country
In the spirit of reconciliation the CCF SA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
