The Retired Members Group (RMG) was formed by CCF SA in 2014 to provide a social environment for retired or semi-retired civil construction contractor and associate members and allied stakeholders to meet, re-connect and keep abreast of current industry practices.In 2018 eligibility was extended to accept nominated employee representatives to become a member of RMG. Our PurposeTo give the opportunity for retired persons and their partners or immediate family of deceased members to be in touch with one another and to be made aware of current industry practices by receiving regular CCF SA magazines and the annual Year Book free of charge. RMG also arranges guest speakers on social changes such as aged care, superannuation and wealth management through regular social events, meetings, reunions and the CCF SA website. It also gathers historical memorabilia that preserves the history of the civil construction industry in South Australia.
RMG Committee membersThe current committee consist of past presidents such as David Truran, Glen Blackmore and Michael Pridham, as well as long serving former CCF SA members in Peter Jeffery, Roger Rose, Cath Truran, Mike Rowe and Peter Keane. Former branch CEO, Bob Osborne acts as honorary secretary. Benefits of membershipRMG financial members and their partners and immediate family members of deceased RMG members are welcome to attend the group’s social functions, meetings and tours at a subsidised cost.
