The Retired Members Group (RMG) was formed by CCF SA in 2014 to provide a social environment for retired or semi-retired civil construction contractor and associate members and allied stakeholders to meet and connect in a social  atmosphere.

The first rule of the RMG is FUN!

RMG COMMITTEE MEMBERS

CCF SA acknowledges and thanks this year’s committee members who generously offer their time:
Peter Jeffery (Chairperson), Michael Pridham (Deputy Chairperson), Mike Rowe, Roger Rose, Peter Keane and Dennis Lorenzin.

The RMG is conscientiously focused on enjoying social times with retired or semi-retired civil workers and civil suppliers. CCF SA fosters their support of the RMG by providing a yearly donation and ongoing admin support.

The RMG Committee have the following strategies each year:

•        Planning of three events per year
•        Ensure annual CCF SA funding and RMG membership ($55 per financial year) subsidises all planned events, and
•        Assistance with Hall of Fame nominations

The Committee also oversees the gathering and consolidation of historical memorabilia that preserves the history of the civil construction industry in South Australia.

WHAT WE DID IN 2023

A winery bus tour was arranged as the first event for 2023 and scheduled for late April.  The tour included wine tastings at Paxton Winery, followed by lunch and more tastings at Woodstock Winery. Final stop was The Chocolate Factory, where tasty purchases were shared on the journey home.

Mid-Winter we spent an amazing Winter's day with over 30 RMG members and their spouses at The Lion in North Adelaide. Excellent food, engaging conversation and good company made for a truly delightful afternoon. Nothing could've made the afternoon more perfect!

At the RMG Christmas Drinks in November, 27 of us raised a glass in celebration to the year that was 2023. Committee Chair, Peter Jeffery, extended a warm thank you, both to members and the RMG Committee. He also thanked the CCF SA for their unwavering support. Here's to many more moments like this in 2024 and beyond!
